Jailbreak for iPhone 4S / iPad 2 Untethered on Windows
Yesterday it was announced, that Absinthe A5 was available to jailbreak your iPhone 4S / iPad 2 on Mac OS X.
An untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S / iPad 2 was just announced compatible with Windows.
You can download the file:
Then just follow these instructions:
- Download the file
- Extract it
- Shift+Right Click on the folder, Open Command Window Here (or Start->Run, type cmd, and navigate to the folder
- Type:
cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig - Install, and use no password for the pod2g server
- Type:
cinject -j paylods - Type:
cinject.exe -w - Turn on VPN: Settings->General->Network->VPN-> ON
You should be jailbroken. If you have a mac, then simply follow the easy instructions here to do an untethered jailbreak on Mac OS X.
Wi-Fi Sync Rejected by Apple App Store (of course) — only for Jailbroken iPhones now
I had posted a few weeks ago that a developer had submitted a wireless sync app to the App Store.
Unfortunately it seems the app has been rejected, and will now be available only in Cydia for $9.99
It’s getting annoying how the iPhone platform could be so cool, but isn’t because Apple says we won’t like it. That’s what happens when you rely upon that platform. I get closer to going Android every day.
