I’ve gotten a few people asking this question. How can you delete photos from your Photostream?
In reality you can’t. You can “delete” the entire album, but not photos individually. This is because Photostream is meant to make your photos available on all of your devices.
I don’t agree with it, but that’s how it is.
You can, however, reset your Photostream if you want to remove all the photos (and start fresh):
- Go to iCloud.com
- Log in (with your Apple ID, probably your Email address, and the password you have to type every day on your iPhone)
- Click on your name in the top right corner to bring up the Account options
- Click on Advanced
- Click “Reset Photo Stream“
You can also turn Photo Stream off, if you want to do that:
- On your iOS device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch)
- Open Settings
- Click/touch iCloud
- Click/touch Photostream
- Toggle On/Off
Hope that helps achieve whatever you wanted to achieve.
According to AppleInsider, it may be a reality.
I’ve been saying since before the iPad came out, that it needs to have an inward facing camera. It would be the perfect video calling solution. Video phones have been selling for decades (albeit not selling well) at prices around or above the current iPad price points.
Add to that all the existing FaceTime compatible devices, and you have a perfect storm of video calling.
Based on the data in the AppleInsider article, the new iPads should be released no later than Q1 of 2011. I have a feeling it’s going to be January. The article says it may be before the holiday season, but I have a feeling Apple will want to benefit from the new iPod’s FaceTime for the holiday season, and not introduce a product that competes. The perfect time for Apple to launch a product would be right after those on the fence, buy the last one.
This year it’s my parents, who finally got an iPod touch 2 weeks before the new iPod Touch came out. I warned them…
If the iPad comes out with the inward facing camera, I’m finally in!
From the article:
Well looky what we have here. Someone has put up two semi-working iPod touches WITH cameras and a development version of the iPod OS on Ebay. They are marked with ‘DVT-1’ and ‘DVT-2’, ‘Apple Development Team’ and one is running some sort of ‘switchboard’ OS window.
Yes, we put our bid in but we have a feeling that Apple is going to be the ‘High bidder’ on this one. Perhaps you’d like to pull a Gizmodo and contact the seller before Apple wakes up?
