iPhone OS 4.0
Could video chat / iChat be coming to the iPhone or iPad?
An article over at TUAW, iChatAgent process shows up in iPhone OS 4.0 — video conferencing coming?, has a few screenshots taken of iPhone OS 4.0 testers that lists “iChatAgent” as a running process.
I feel that not only could this mean the iPhone may have video conferencing, but it is highly likely that an iPad refresh in the next year will have video chat as well.
We can only hope…
Apple iPhone OS 4.0: Sneak Peek at 10 am Pacific Today
If you have somehow forgotten, today Apple will be providing us a sneak peek at the iPhone OS 4.0.
Here is one thing I believe will be announced:
- Multitasking (confirmed) – It has to be announced, the iPad sorely needs this to stay competitive as does Apple in the mobile phone market
That list isn’t long, but here is what I’d love to see, and why I think we may see it:

Invitations have gone out from Apple inviting the media to the “sneak peek of the next generation of iPhone OS software”.
