Virtual Water: An Interactive Installation
The video below is an interactive installation by Mike Burton (couldn’t find a link, let me know if you have one, he deserves it) called Waterboard. The interactive artwork lets participants manipulate the flow of water on a wall. Of course the water is digital. Water reacts in a handful of ecologically logical ways (putrid water, plants growing near water, life forms forming in fresh water, etc.).
This is the kind of stuff that makes you think about the future of technology, while it may only be an art demonstration.
Inspiration: From the weirdest places
Sometimes you see something beautiful, and independent of the contents — just stare at it.
I saw a tweet today about an awesome skateboard design posting, 100 Crazy Skateboard Designs, and for some reason followed it.
I’m not a skateboarder, I don’t even know the physics behind how the rider can jump, and the board goes with them. I know it involves something with stepping on the back, but … mindblowing (minimally).
Another site I had seen the other day, Designs Delight, had some amazingly designed Lamps as well as some modern furniture. I know, it sounds dumb — check it out.
Please share, it makes me happy:
