Nexus One Pricing Leak, Release Date Confirmed
As seen at Gizmodo on the blog posting, Leaked Nexus One Documents: $530 Unlocked, $180 with T-Mobile — prices have been leaked for the Nexus One. Talk about a difference from earlier rumors of $99 for Google users.
Some details:
- Google will be selling directly
- T-Mobile will be subsidizing the price if signed up with a contract (just like with the iPhone)
- Maximum of 5 Nexus phones per Google account (this sounds like Google is still taking a loss on the device, or has limited supply)
- The site will be google.com/phone (there is a 404 page, but a different 404 page than in the rest of Google)
- Canceling your T-Mobile subsidized plan before 120 days means you must pay the difference in price (no shortcuts)
Adding to that, according to other sources, according to the blog post T-Mobile “Officially” Confirms Google Phone, the Google Phone will be available on January 5th at 9am (probably pacific time).
